Coexisting with Nature

Your attitude affects life’s events, which is the first great law of magic.

Quote from ‘‘The Gene Keys’’ book.

During summer, I encounter various creatures on my walks, some drawn to my scent, others clinging to my clothes or skin, and some even entering my eyes. I've observed that certain insects emerge in June but disappear by July, replaced by new species. One day, I became irrationally angry with the tiny insects surrounding me, tensing up and feeling stressed throughout my walk.

As I settled down by the tranquil lake for a brief meditation, I couldn't help but feel anxious and uncertain about my seating and posture. Despite closing my eyes, I found concentrating hard and felt incredibly restless. Eventually, I decided to open my eyes and take in my surroundings. I took a deep breath, allowing my body to relax and my thoughts to come and go without judgment. Suddenly, a voice in my head whispered, "What if you just let it be?" Intrigued, I delved deeper into my thoughts and felt an inexplicable connection with everything around me. I couldn't help but marvel at the tiny insects buzzing around me, enjoying their newfound freedom in the warm weather. As I sat there, I was overcome with gratitude for nature and a newfound understanding that we all exist together. I thought, on my way back, I would take off my glasses and let insects touch my face. I won't avoid them and see what happens. After a moment of observation, I realized that I had not encountered any insects causing me any discomfort. As I continued to take in my surroundings, it became clear that I was the intruder in their peaceful habitat. It's a common trait among humans to place their own well-being above that of other living creatures, and this realization only made me more aware of the importance of respecting and preserving the natural world around us.

Whether it's the sun on your skin, a scary dog approaching, a fly buzzing around your meal, or a wasp eyeing your ice cream, nothing in your environment is against you. If you show respect, you will notice how short its appearance is and how insignificant your reaction to it is. Shift your focus from complaining about the weather to being grateful for its rich and enjoyable changes. Recognize that God is unlimited in creating adversity, and notice how gratitude expands your inner world and improves daily life. Life is simple, but we make it hard by adding unnecessary hardships. When we connect with nature, our aura reflects it, making us lighter and our experiences more profound. People around us feel good in our presence, even if they can't explain it; the energy speaks for itself.

Create pauses throughout your day, observe your surroundings, and notice everything around you. Pay attention to when you feel tense around others or other creatures. In my experience, when a dog approaches me, and I feel fear and tension in my body, I relax and take a deep breath. I notice the dog becomes calmer, sniffs my toes, and eventually leaves. If I feel comfortable or the dog is cute, I may bend down and pet it slowly. Pauses and moments of slowing down can shift our perspective and transform our lives.

I recently stumbled upon a video that left a profound impact on me. Yvan Buravan, the subject of the video, paused to listen to the melodious chirping of birds before answering a question in an interview. This simple act of mindfulness brought tears of joy to my eyes and made me realize the true essence of his being. It elucidates the reason behind the immense joy he brought into our lives when he was still with us in the physical realm. It is now evident why his influence will transcend even after he has passed away, for while our bodies may perish, our souls remain eternal.

I hope this message finds you with an open heart to receive.
