oneness
The other day, while meditating, the word “Oneness” suddenly came to my mind. It was not just a thought but a confirmation from an infinite force that felt like a revelation of truth. Even though I was familiar with this word, I finally grasped its meaning this time. After my meditation, I discovered Paramahansa Yogananda’s teachings on oneness, which confirmed my realization; he said, “He who has realized oneness with God possesses all knowledge contained in him. Knowing the Lord as the beginning and end of all beings and worlds, a true Brahmin has knowledge of the hereafter and of the workings of nature on this plane of existence.” The real meaning of these words holds the key to our freedom (believe me). We are much more potent than we give ourselves credit for. Realizing this brings clarity to many universal laws. We are what we think of ourselves, and the extent of our free will is directly proportional to our perception of ourselves. Our ultimate purpose is to expand, learn, and create through the power of our imagination. Each desire that arises within us is an opportunity for God to explore his curiosity, and it is through us that he fulfills these desires. This realization is awe-inspiring, implying that we can create and shape our lives according to our will. We can expand our horizons as far as we allow ourselves to. This universal truth is genuinely remarkable and deserves our utmost attention. Our worries and negative emotions often stem from limiting beliefs that we develop as children and through the influence of those around us. We may feel it is wise to be ‘realistic’ and think and act in a certain way, but this often leads to conflicts within ourselves and others. We may believe that life is supposed to be hard and that those who think otherwise are naive, but choosing an exciting and fulfilling journey is possible. It is a choice that we can make for ourselves. After all, the source we pour from is limitless, so why limit yourself? These words may sound familiar to you, as they once did to me. However, I only truly understood their meaning when I started to embody them through my meditative practice. You, too, may understand this truth in your way, whether through walking, playing with your pet, or any other activity that brings you joy. When it comes, you will know that you now know.
