Easy is right.
Begin right, and you’re easy. Continue easy, and you are right. The right way to go easy is to forget the right way and forget that the going is easy.
~Chuang Tzu
Hello, thank you for joining me on this beautiful journey. I have been starting my days with silence for some time now and would like to invite anyone interested in being still and embracing the emptiness of our first hours of the day to join me.
For the next 7 days, I will be practicing morning silence with you. To fully immerse myself in the experience, I like to include my breath by either counting it slowly or simply observing the inhale and exhale. This helps me remain present and not get lost in my thoughts. Comfort is queen. It's important to prioritize comfort during this time, ensuring that I am not too warm or cold and that my body is relaxed. I suggest you drink a glass of water before starting and do it slowly.
This practice can be done at your own pace and in the comfort of your own space without any time restrictions. However, I recommend attempting it before sunrise to ensure a peaceful environment. As Chuang Tzu once said, Easy is right. Make this moment as natural and easy as possible, as the day ahead will bring its own set of responsibilities. Go slowlyyyy with each breath, movement, smile, and touch, allowing yourself to be without any limit. Take a moment to connect with yourself by placing your hand over your heart and whispering, "I am."
When it's time to return to our physical spaces, take three deep breaths, wiggle your hands and toes, and ease yourself back gradually. Don't judge any thoughts that come rushing in – we're human, after all. Instead, invite them in for tea and observe them without labeling them. Take all the time you need here, depending on how much time you have, but don't rush into the next task just yet. Take it slow.
Please share your feedback in the comments section below regarding your experience with 7-day morning silence.
Ready? Enjoy, my friend!
