Becoming a “WHOLE” person

I wanted to begin this piece with an appreciative note for all the support I receive every moment of my journey so that I can hold onto what truly resonates with the core of my being:

To my non-physical friends, who hold me so tightly in the warm blanket of unconditional love, whispering, "Stay with us, stay with us, though we never separate from you, beloved! Stay with us with all your awareness."

To the extensions of God in physical forms: the water, the trees, the grass, the mountains, the flowers, the bumblebees. When I look at nature with all of my awareness, I see the abundance that they are, that I am.

To the manifestations in my life that point me to what I believe and whisper to my inner ears, “You did this,” through touch, smell, taste, and sight.

To anyone living their truth in love, fearless, knowing their value, always showing that there is another way.

I took a month and a half off from social media; I’ve been out of touch with what's going on in the world. When I talk to my family on the phone, they mention hot stories, and I am just there with a fish face. I decided to take this break because I felt a strong inner calling. It felt like the voice I needed to listen to was distant, so I decided to unplug everything and listen more closely. I am glad I did it, as I was able to hear that inner voice more clearly.

Here is what I am learning about being a whole person: HIGHER MIND - PHYSICAL MIND - PHYSICAL BODY MIND

First, I’d like to give you a general understanding of the three and how they serve each other. We often refer to the higher mind as intuition, your higher self, source, inner being, 6th sense, and so on. So, if I refer to the higher mind, I will be referring to all of that. The higher mind is the control engine that guides, has a broader perspective, and holds the bigger picture. We are often unaware of it because it’s unseen, and many have no idea of its existence. The awareness of it is usually limited to the known. The higher mind is the extension of the source or God; it is who we are, eternal, and fully re-emerges with its essence once we drop the body. Our soul, or what I refer to as the higher mind, is not in our body; it is our body that resides in our soul. So, when you are passionate, in love, feeling expanded and unstoppable, your physical vessel is aware of the expansiveness of who you are. You are connected with why you came here in the first place - to have a physical experience and expand in different ways through different perspectives. In other words, since you are an extension of God, when you have a physical experience, it is God experiencing itself through you. You are the manifestation of God’s consciousness. Many don’t grasp this truth because of so many things we learned growing up, and it also explains why we don’t live to our fullest potential, thinking there is a God outside of us, not knowing that we are a fractal of God, a part of God. To detach yourself from this truth, you always ask from outside yourself; therefore, you’ll never be aware of your higher mind until you croak and re-emerge again with the truth. The higher mind communicates with us through our passions, living our excitement every moment, dreams, and imagination - basically, anything you do that transcends time and space. That’s where your higher mind knows you are connected to it and sends you more of it.

The physical mind receives information from the higher mind and is meant to follow its guidance. Our belief system plays a key role in how we interpret this guidance, and it can either limit or expand our understanding of what is possible. The physical mind's primary function is to interpret the information from the higher mind based on what is perceived, whether consciously or subconsciously. Asking the physical mind about future events creates unnecessary pressure because it only knows what has already happened and never how it will happen. An analogy that illustrates this concept is comparing the physical mind to a diving mask used for deep sea diving. The physical mind is like the diving mask, providing focus for experiencing what’s in front of you (life), while the higher mind has a broader view, ensuring everything is well so that one can relax and enjoy life. When we try to force the physical mind to control everything, it leads to a negative ego, but when we relax and communicate with the higher mind (by acting on our excitement and passion in life), we work in harmony, allowing each component of our being to fulfill its intended role. Communication from the higher mind is subtle and can manifest as intuitive decisions or unexpected encounters that provide needed information. When we let go of control and open up to the flow of life, we become more receptive to such information. Instead of relying on the physical mind to figure everything out, we should trust the higher mind and let it guide us.

The physical body-mind perceives information through feelings and emotions, indicating how aligned the higher and physical minds are. From my experience, I can explain this through two main feelings: "expansion and contraction." When we view life from the higher mind perspective, holding the bigger picture instead of getting lost in minor details, we feel expanded; we love life. We understand that we are not confined to how things may seem, that we are supported, provided, and cared for and that we create our realities by redefining our beliefs. On the other hand, we feel contracted when we rely solely on the physical mind, live in fear, seek validation from others, or don't pursue our excitement. Our feelings act as a compass, pointing out our beliefs about ourselves and life, which becomes our reality. More to come about the nature of our feelings and emotions; it really really needs a separate blog post.
